What happens in an online physiotherapy consultation?
Your physiotherapist takes a history, observes movement through video, checks functional limitations, screens for red flags and guides suitable exercises or next steps.

An online physiotherapy consultation is not a video library. It is not a PDF of exercises. It is a live clinical appointment where your physiotherapist assesses your symptoms, watches you move and builds a plan around your condition.
Your first session begins with a structured history. The physiotherapist asks where the pain is, how it started, what makes it better or worse, what daily tasks are affected, what treatments you have already tried and whether there are any warning signs that need medical review.
After that, you are guided through safe movements on camera. This may include sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, lifting the arms or specific movements linked to your symptoms. The aim is to understand how your body behaves in real time.
Online physiotherapy works because many musculoskeletal problems can be assessed through history, movement observation, functional testing and guided exercise response. Research on telehealth physiotherapy shows good patient satisfaction and improved access when care includes clinical assessment, supervision and follow-up.
The key is structure. Random online exercises are not the same as professional online physiotherapy. CureOnCall uses assessment, correction and review to keep the process clinically guided.
We ask how the symptoms started, how long they have been present, where they travel, how they behave during the day and what activities trigger them.
You may be asked to perform safe movements on camera so the physiotherapist can observe range, control, posture, stiffness and pain behaviour.
We discuss what you cannot currently do, such as sitting, walking, lifting, working, sleeping, climbing stairs, exercising or caring for family.
Your plan is built around your symptoms, home environment, available space, fitness level and recovery goals.
Recovery is reviewed over time. Exercises are progressed, reduced or modified depending on how your body responds.
CureOnCall supports clients in UAE, UK, USA, Europe and other regions. Sessions are conducted in English, scheduled around time zones where possible and followed by clear instructions. Many international clients choose us because they want continuity from one clinical team instead of fragmented care.
Pakistan & worldwide on Zoom.
Available across Faisalabad city.
Choose a quiet space with enough light for the clinician to see your movement. Place the device far enough away when possible so your full body can be visible. Keep a chair nearby. Do not push through severe pain during the session. Your physiotherapist will guide the safe limit.
Virtual physiotherapy is useful for patients who cannot travel easily, live outside a major city, have busy work schedules, live abroad, or want continuity from the same clinician over time. It also helps when the problem appears during daily tasks at home or work, because the physiotherapist can design the plan around the environment where symptoms happen.
Do not expect a passive treatment session where someone does the work for you. Online physiotherapy is active care. Your clinician guides, observes and corrects, but progress depends on consistent movement between sessions.
Exercises are chosen based on your home space and available equipment. Most early programmes do not need machines. If you have stairs, a chair, a wall, a towel, a mat or resistance bands, the plan can often be adapted.
Your physiotherapist takes a history, observes movement through video, checks functional limitations, screens for red flags and guides suitable exercises or next steps.
It can be effective for many non-emergency musculoskeletal conditions when assessment, exercise correction, progression and follow-up are included.
You need a stable internet connection, phone or laptop with camera, comfortable clothing, a safe space to move and any relevant reports if available.
Yes, after medical clearance and when the recovery stage is suitable for video-guided rehabilitation. Some early recovery cases may need a home visit or in-person care first.
Your physiotherapist will tell you honestly if online care is not enough and may recommend in-person assessment, imaging, medical review or emergency care.
