Children & Teens

Child & Adolescent Counselling — Online

“Children and teenagers do better when adults around them get the right tools — and when they have a safe space of their own to be heard.”

Childhood and adolescence are periods of rapid emotional and social change. When something is hard — anxiety, school refusal, low mood, anger outbursts, social difficulty, exam pressure, or adjustment to family change — early structured support can make a big difference.

At CureOnCall we offer online psychological support for children and teenagers, with an integrated parent-coaching layer so the home environment supports the work.

Who this is for

Common reasons people reach out

If any of these feel familiar, structured psychological support can help. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from clinical care.

  • School refusal, exam stress, or learning-related anxiety
  • Low mood, withdrawal, or loss of interest in usual activities
  • Anger outbursts, irritability, or behavioural difficulty
  • Social anxiety, friendship problems, or bullying recovery
  • Adjustment to family change — divorce, relocation, loss
  • Confidence, self-esteem, identity, or screen-time concerns
Our Approach

A child- and family-centred approach

We work in age-appropriate ways: play- and conversation-based therapy for younger children, structured CBT-informed work for older children and teens, and parent coaching alongside. Cultural and family context is built into the plan.

  • Initial parent session
  • Child / teen sessions
  • Parent coaching
  • School + review
How sessions work

A clear, structured care journey

01

Initial parent session

We begin with the parent(s) to understand history, school context, family dynamics, strengths and concerns.

02

Child / teen sessions

Age-appropriate sessions to build trust, explore feelings, and teach practical regulation and coping skills.

03

Parent coaching

Short sessions for parents on responding effectively at home — co-regulation, boundaries, and supporting recovery.

04

School + review

Where helpful, coordination with schools and structured review of progress, with adjustments to the plan.

What changes

Outcomes clients consistently report

Therapy is judged by measurable change — in symptoms, function, and quality of life. Sessions track progress and adapt the plan accordingly.

  • Calmer home environment with fewer flashpoints
  • Better emotional regulation and self-expression
  • Improved school engagement and confidence
  • Stronger parent–child connection and communication
  • Practical coping tools your child can carry into adulthood

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What age groups do you support?
We work with children from approximately 6 years upwards through the teenage years (up to 18). Younger ages are assessed individually.
Do parents attend the sessions?
Parents are part of the process. Younger children often have parents involved more directly; teenagers usually have private sessions with regular parent updates by agreement.
Will my child be diagnosed?
These are therapy sessions, not formal diagnostic assessments. If a formal assessment is required (e.g. ADHD, autism), we can discuss appropriate referral.
Is online therapy suitable for children?
Yes — for many concerns, especially with parent involvement and age-appropriate techniques. Suitability is reviewed in the first session.
